Proposed Illinois Senate Bill 471 requires all employers to provide paid time off to all employees. For each 40 hours worked, the proposal is that the employee receive 1 hour of PTO, up to 40 hours per year. The legislation is slated to move onto a vote by the General Assembly after November 12, 2019.
